CORENET X submission and process is challenging for many architectural practices, especially for those yet to embrace digital solution in their current practice. These include:-
Designed and curated by practicing architects, RABW 2.0 addresses these CX issues and challenges from the Architect's perspective. This course is prepared for QPs and QPAs to embrace this new submission processes for the imminent change.
Module One - CX concepts and gateways
Participants will learn the concept of CX, RABW, submission gateways and many other related facilities and functions. Preliminary submission requirements and expectations will also be discussed and shared.
Module Two - Hands-on tutorial on CX submission platform, Participants will learn about the user interface and functions of the CX submission platform. The training will be conducted in a small-group (max. 25 participants), interactive tutorial format to ensure that participants can apply the knowledge learned to the submission portal, including setting up a project profile, managing project members, uploading a project for submission, and experiencing the submission outcome. Participants are also expected to bring their own laptop for this module.
Instructors
Ar. Jim Tan, Xcube Architects
As a practicing architect, Jim has more than 20 years of experience in the building industry and is also an avid technologist and data manager for building practices. In 2008, he was part of the pilot team involved in the BCA BIM e-submission, where he trained and guided participating firms to adopt BIM e-submission in a 3-month program. Currently, Jim is the co-chair of the SIA Digital Technology Committee, where he also represents the fraternity on topics related to Digital Transformation, AI, and CORENET X for architects.
Ar. William Lau, William Lau Architects
An architect and technology advocate, William is passionate about using technology to improve the built environment. As a council member the SIA and chair of their Digital Technology Committee, he champions the use of IT to streamline architectural practices. He is also a former president of Building Smart Singapore, where he led the accreditation of BIM professionals. William continues to be a driving force in Singapore's digital transformation initiatives and is a certified trainer, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of architects.
